Stray Kids Needs A Break

Stray Kids Needs A Break
The issue
Stray Kids are currently facing mistreatment and excessive workloads. Since JYP stepped down, the situation has noticeably declined, and ONE Label appears to be mismanaging the group’s schedules, opportunities, and wellbeing. While fans continue to request new songs, albums, and releases, it is clear that the members urgently require proper rest and recovery time. Here are some points noticed by STAY that caused this petition:
- Seungmin has been seen limping due to an ankle injury that has reportedly remained untreated for over six months. This demonstrates that he has not been given adequate rest or medical care. He requires an immediate hiatus to recover safely and without pressure.
- Felix is experiencing significant overwork due to frequent brand commitments on top of group activities. His schedule has become overcrowded, leaving him with little time to rest or focus on his health. It is essential that he is given time to breathe and recover.
- Bang Chan recently changed his Bubble status to “favoritism,” which many fans believe reflects concerns about unequal workload distribution. Felix is being overused for brand promotions while other members, such as Han, receive fewer opportunities. This imbalance places unnecessary stress on Felix and neglects the rest of the group.
- Han publicly requested a break during a fan meeting, directly asking JYP for rest, yet was denied immediately. He has also expressed distress during a Fans App live, stating that his voice is strained and that he feels emotionally overwhelmed. He urgently needs time off to allow his voice and mental health to recover.
- Fans have also raised concerns about the group’s constant back‑to‑back schedules. Stray Kids often move directly from tours to filming, recording, and overseas events with little to no downtime, which increases the risk of burnout and injury.
- Members have performed while visibly injured or unwell, suggesting that rest is not being prioritised. This pattern raises serious questions about the level of care and protection being provided.
- There has also been a noticeable decline in vocal health for several members. Fans have observed hoarseness, vocal strain, and exhaustion during live performances, indicating that they are not receiving sufficient vocal rest.
- Many fans feel that ONE Label has not communicated clearly about the members’ health, injuries, or schedule changes. This lack of transparency increases worry and reduces trust in the company’s management.
- Additionally, the pressure to maintain global momentum appears to be pushing the group beyond healthy limits. Their rapid rise in international popularity should not come at the cost of their long‑term wellbeing.
I may have missed some points here that you may have noticed about Stray Kids. Feel free to add in anything in the comments. However, please sign this petition to support Stray Kids and advocate for their right to rest, fair treatment, and proper care. It does not matter if you are a not a fan, we urgently need your help for Stray Kids' wellbeing and health.
Thank you!
