Dear All,

In the city of Bangalore where garbage is dumped regularly at public places , we see a lot of stray dogs hovering aournd and even sleeping and eating the garbage. There is no control of the government to regulate the population of stray dogs in the four corners of the city especially Banagalore South. Even in newly developed government schemes and big layouts at Anekal, we find huge packs of street dogs fighting and howling in the night that is very scary for all pedastrians walking on the road. Especially at Surya City at Chandapura where the govt has housing on nearly 700 acres, there is no respite to Dog menace.There are atleast 50 dogs in the area and maybe even more. It is estimated that Bangalore city has over 50000 thousand dogs . Even cruel owners just leave their dogs at Anekal and the poor dog is at the mercy of howling street dogs and heavy traffic. Can atleast the Bangloreans come together and sign the petition so PETA gets active in especially Bangalore South beyond electronic city i.e the stretch upto Attibele.

I started this petition because I am a animal lover and stray dogs also need protection by sterlisation to control the population. Residents are at the risk epecially small children to be bitten by the dogs. This petition can make a difference to all dog lovers in the city of Bangalore to think beyond their own pedigree dogs and think of the animals who are causing menace in the neighbourhood. We need animal shelters, ambulances to transport the dogs to the shelter, facilities for sterilisation and also adoption of the puppies. Helplines to be available to the general public to report dog menace , accidents, etc.
