I am a male dating a male at my high school. Every year my school gives awards during our presentation play. This year, even though my boyfriend and I were nominated, my boyfriend and I were not allowed to run for the “Favorite Couple” award. By not allowing us, and many others, to participate due to our sexual orientation our school is violating a federal law against discrimination toward same-sex couples within schools. All we want to do is participate like anyone else, because we are no diffrent.
