Stop the Illegal Bank Charges!

Stop the Illegal Bank Charges!
The Issue
Oftentimes, customers of commercial banks wake up to an unpleasant debit alert! The sad thing is that I have been a victim of this, as have many Nigerians, and we begin to wonder when we signed this as part of the terms and agreement when opening an account or requesting an automated teller machine card ATM. I, as a customer of not less than two banks, can tell you about various instances of illegal debit alerts that almost drop tears from my eyes as a result of the tight spot these debits cost me.
An instance of this is leaving me stranded without any transportation left on me. After the said debit of #1075 (one thousand seventy-five naira) for an auto card reissue out of #1100 (one thousand one hundred naira) was sent to me that evening, my bank suddenly decided to debit me for an ATM card reissue that has expired since October 2022 by December same year, after I received a credit alert meant for my transportation back home. The rest is indeed history.
WE WAIT NO MORE TO TAKE ACTION!
We are asking anyone who is willing to join and stop this act by signing this petition to take up a class action lawsuit due to a bad experience faced by these commercial banks "who think placing their customers on auto debit for a card reissue is a good business strategy" and refunding the money back after some degree of damage had already been done with no intention to review such policy to avoid future recurrence.
A NUMBER OF QUESTIONS NEED ANSWERS!
• Why would a savings account customer be listed under auto-debits for card issuance by a commercial bank? The customer is completely free to ask for one whenever they want to! Not to be imposed automatically
• Where does it say that a consumer would be put on auto debit when their debit card expires after a certain period of time?
This is unlawful, illegal, unfair, and definitely an inconsiderate business strategy that needs to be stopped by appropriate law enforcement agencies in line with banking system regulations. This therefore calls for urgent attention, support, and signatures from commercial banks to stop this act.
Thank you
