Thank you for lending your voice to the fight against the oppression of our artists.

We recently passed the 500 signatures mark which though significant is nowhere near what we need to get any significant attention. However Kudos to you all who got us there. It is the small victories that will get us to the top of the mountain.

Today we present to you Mr Albert Nyathi the ZIMURA Board Chair.

VETERAN musician and poet Albert Nyathi, is the Zimbabwe Music Rights Association (Zimura) board chairperson. He has traveled the world and is exposed to global music industry norms. He is highly educated with a Bachelors Degree and a Masters Degree in the arts. One would assume that he would know that the ZIMURA $150 fee:
- has no legal basis
- has no international precedent
- had no research or consultation before it was launched
- is unimplementable

Did Albert Nyathi and his board know about this and did they approve it?mbe

Right now it seems like this was hatched and implemented by the ZIMURA deputy director Henry "Landlord" Makombe. If so then Mr Nyathi and his Board can intervene and stop this chaos!

We urgently request Mr Nyathi to come out in public and address this issue.

Baba Nyathi you were one of us please come forward ukhulume lathi...
