Update on xxxxxxx's Deportation

Dear friends and supporters,
I hope this message finds you well. On behalf of xxxxxxxxx, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to each one of you who supported the petition to halt xxxxxxxxx's deportation order.
Despite our collective efforts, I regret to inform you that xxxxxxx's deportation was carried out by the Canada Border Service Agency (CBSA) yesterday, July 2024, at 10:00 AM. He has been returned to xxxxxxxx, where he may unfortunately face the same persecution, stigma, and discrimination he sought to escape.
This is an incredibly challenging time for xxxxxx, and we ask for your prayers and support. Having left behind everything he built in Canada, xxxxxxxx now faces the daunting task of starting anew. The financial strain of the legal appeals has also taken a toll on him. For those wishing to reach out directly, Chris can be contacted via email at xxxxxxxxxxxx. Alternatively, you can reach me at patrick.mwesigye@hopeforrefugees.org for assistance in connecting with him or how to support him.
xxxxxxxxx's situation is difficult, both practically and emotionally. Your support in any form would mean a lot to him as he navigates this trying time.
I want to express my deep appreciation for the tremendous effort and solidarity shown in support of xxxxxxx. Our petition garnered an overwhelming response with 7,912 signatures, 111,882 views, 2,462 shares, and 217 promoters. It is disheartening that despite these efforts, the authorities did not reconsider xxxxxxx's deportation.
However, we remain hopeful that xxxxxxx will one day find safety and freedom from persecution. Your ongoing support will be crucial in helping him achieve that.
Thank you once again, and may you be abundantly blessed. For any further inquiries, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at patrick.mwesigye@hopeforrefugees.org.
Warm regards,
