Stop Fake District Units – Save Chess in Punjab

We, the players, parents, coaches, and well-wishers of chess in Punjab, strongly oppose the unfair and undemocratic practices of the Punjab State Chess Association (PSCA).

It has come to our notice that PSCA has created fake district units not only in Ferozepur but also in at leastTwo other districts. Shockingly, none of the so-called office bearers or members of these units are known to any genuine player, coach, or organizer from those districts.

This act is nothing but an attempt to kill the growth of chess in Punjab for political gains. Instead of supporting real players and genuine associations who work hard at the grassroots level, PSCA is filling the state chess structure with dummy members who have no connection to the sport.

Chess in Punjab belongs to the players, not to vested interests. We refuse to let politics destroy the passion, dedication, and careers of thousands of chess lovers across the state.
