Stop wrongful animal executions by Multnomah County Animal Services

Stop wrongful animal executions by Multnomah County Animal Services
The Issue
Two beloved dogs, a pure Ridgeback and a Pitt/Ridgeback mix, are facing unjustly dire consequences due to false accusations. They belong to a close friend who recently relocated from the city to the countryside. Despite the transition, both dogs have always been inherently gentle and affectionate, traits that didn't change with their new environment where they sometimes accidentally wander off the yard.
Back in July 2025, during one of their unintentional escapades, they were found in a neighbor's horse pen. The horse's owner notified the police, instead of taking the matter amicably. However, a different neighbor has unjustly implicated these innocent dogs in the tragic death of their pet goat, claiming unverifiable surveillance evidence. Shockingly, Multnomah County Animal Services (MCAS) subsequently detained the mother and has labeled both dogs as a 'Dangerous Animal.'
The lack of credible evidence poses a glaring issue. There's no concrete link between the incident and these dogs, yet MCAS insists on designating them as dangerous, jeopardizing their lives unjustly on death row. This could set a chilling precedent, risking the lives of many other wrongly accused animals, condemned without irrefutable proof.
The friend and I are vigorously working for the mother dog's release and to protect the daughter, who is temporarily under my care. Oregon authorities are pressing for the surrender of both dogs, aiming to proceed with their execution based solely on hearsay. This egregious punishment is both inhumane and unjustified.
Animals, particularly those with the docile nature of these dogs, deserve a fair investigation process, one that truly considers innocence until proven guilty. We're calling on Multnomah County Animal Services and the judicial system at large in Portland to stand as advocates of fairness, to ensure any action against animals like these is based on substantial and irrefutable evidence.
We seek justice not only for these two dogs but for all animals unjustly labeled as dangerous without basis. We urge MCAS to halt these unjust proceedings and allow these dogs to return home where they belong. Please stand with us in calling for change and ensuring that innocence is not met with cruelty or misjudgment.
Sign this petition to demand a fair evaluation process for animals accused of being dangerous and to protect these innocent dogs from an unjust fate. Together, we can build a more compassionate and just world for all animals.

I want to thank everyone who took the time to sign this petition. By you signing, your making a statement and taking a stand in helping to save Wrongful Executions by MCAS.. My goal is 1000 signatures as I am going all the way for animals as they are mistreated, misjudged, and unable to defend themselves and daily innocent animals are dying in the hands and care of MCAS...Executed with no real reason..they lie by saying that the animal was unhealthy or untreatable if they were already sick, list them on animal reports as dangerous and aggressive animals...just so MCAS don't get into trouble for executing them for no reason...You are speaking up for those that can't speak for themselves.. thank you again for showing us love and support...
