As local residents, we've seen firsthand the devastation left behind and have been tirelessly working alongside our neighbors, relying solely on the goodwill of local community members and small charities.

However, amidst this adversity, a glaring injustice is coming to light. Wilco Landfill is charging exorbitant fees for the disposal of debris left in the wake of these floods. This is not just debris; it is the remainder of our homes, the tangible pieces of our lives, soaked and unsalvageable. These profits come at the expense of families who are already stretched thin, emotionally and financially.

Despite the pleas for assistance, neither Wilco Landfill nor any other significant agencies have stepped up to provide the relief necessary for us to rebuild.
