The McQueen Family is pleased to announce that the family has reached a settlement regarding the lawsuit concerning our family’s land.  We’d like to thank the many people who supported our efforts.  We’d also like to thank The Charlotte Observer for the extensive reporting dedicated to our family’s legal battle to maintain full ownership of the property on St. Mark Street.

This matter has been resolved to the satisfaction of all parties.  The McQueen Family sincerely hopes that our story has made a difference by highlighting an issue of concern to historically black neighborhoods.

Finally, we end with a sincere expression of gratitude to the family’s attorney, Derek Adler of DeVore Acton & Stafford, PA, who represented our interests zealously and respectfully.
