Citizens of Village of Kincaid are having issues with the city officials and board members violating their civil rights. The city issues ordinance violations and only give the citizen 14 days to pay or their water is shut off regardless of if the water bill is paid. They are not given an option to go to court and prove their innocence. When they go to a meeting and ask for a court date, one is promised by the Kincaid Cheif of police but never given. The city will shut off elderly in dead winter, they shut off people's water during covid, they have recently shut off a disabled veterans water. All over ordinance violations. Some being true, some being false but they are said to be guilty with no fair court trial by these city officials. When trying to reach some regarding this issue, the city water dept says the Kincaid police handle it, when they speak to the police, they say the city handles it, so all you get is a run around. The city has several open lawsuits regarding this. Something needs to be done to stop this. This is a violation of their civil rights and also being threatened by the zoning board member as you can see in the photo.
