Stop War Criminals from Speaking in Winnipeg, MB, Canada!

On Tuesday, April 1st, 2025, the Students Supporting Israel group is set to host TRIGGERED: The Tour From Combat to Campus. This event is scheduled to feature two IOF war criminals that have actively participated in the Palestinian genocide, killing hundreds of thousands of men, women, children and infants.

We need your support now to tell the Honourable Wab Kinew, Mayor Scott Gillingham, and Police Chief Gene Bowers that:

1. Hosting an event that features IOF soldiers as honoured guests while disregarding their role in ongoing human rights abuses is not only deeply insensitive but also at odds with Canada’s commitment to justice and human rights.
2. The presence of IOF soldiers in Canada raises serious legal and ethical concerns. Canada is a signatory to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC), which defines war crimes and crimes against humanity, including collective punishment and the targeting of civilian infrastructure. And under Canada's Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA), individuals who have engaged in war crimes or crimes against humanity may be deemed inadmissible to Canada.                                                                
3. This event poses a direct threat to the safety and well-being of Palestinian, Arab, Muslim, and allied students. By providing a platform for soldiers who have participated in military operations against Palestinian civilians, this event normalizes state violence and occupation, creating a hostile environment that contradicts our core values of inclusivity, respect, and human dignity. 

We strongly urge The Premier, Mayor and Police Chief to take immediate action to cancel and publicly condemn this event, ensuring that our institutions do not provide platforms for those implicated in severe human rights violations.
