The Issue
To voice discontent over Vladimir Putin being invited to Mongolia.
Who according to the Kremlin is arriving personally under the inviation of President Hurelsukh with no comment from the MOngolian government.
This individual has arrest warrants for warcrimes and crimes against humanity, ordered the invasion of a neighboring sovereign nations, crushed free and democratic processes, free speech and other civil liberties. As well as interferring with free elections.
Overseen a massive criminal enterprise of corruption, embezzlement and murder. Both at home and abroad.
It is simply impossibly stupid to invite such a villain to a WW2 memorial event let alone our country. breaking our international agreements.
We can have our cake and eat it. We can be neutral and even friendly with Russia. We just can't invite Vladimir Putin. Even Lavrov would better. Or we could invite Zelensky it would harm us just as much and the Ukrainian SSR and Ukrainian people contributed heavily to the red army. The man himself was partially raised here in Erdenet. Maybe even a Ukrainian delegate could possibly be a balancing point to our international incident. Of course this would be dumb geopolitically but so is this, inviting anger and scorn for no benefit.
Some might say the world ignored Lukashenko but he is a minor leader like Horthy or Tsar Alexander at best. Putin is the head honcho of this war. Just as it would not be to our advantage to have Zelensky personally come so too would having Putin be personally be invited here.
