I have created this petition to try to make a serious change in all U.S. schools. 

Every child deserves to walk into school with confidence that they are safe. Yet, across the country, families, teachers, and students live with the fear of school shootings—a reality that should never exist in a place of learning.

Metal detectors are not a perfect solution, but they are a powerful step toward prevention. By identifying and stopping weapons from entering school buildings, metal detectors can deter potential violence and help protect lives. Other public spaces—airports, courthouses, stadiums—already use this simple technology as a standard measure of safety. Our children deserve the same level of protection.

Installing metal detectors in schools:

• Creates a clear barrier between dangerous weapons and students.
• Gives parents, teachers, and students greater peace of mind.
