Some pet owners in turn claim this may put their animals' lives at risk  
Private equity giants are facing calls for an official investigation into their buy-up of vet practices amid rising prices and animal welfare fears.

More than half of the veterinary practices in the UK are now owned by six companies, three of which are private equity-owned

It has led to concerns that profit-hungry firms are creating monopolies, leaving customers with nowhere else to go, potentially having to pay inflated fees – and putting animal welfare at risk.

 Lord Blencathra,  brought it up in 2021 about vets being taken over by non vet companies   just hiking up the prices. People are advised to report their complaints to CMA. (Competition and Markets Authority email: general.enquiries@cma.gov.uk ,  phone 02037386000  )
 Vet practices are turning in to money making machines for the big companies who bought them out, leaving the care of an animal as secondary ( or nonexistent).
Vets have become big business,  £5.1 billion!!!!
 Please sign this petition to show your outrage and to see that monopolies, that hike up pricing and who stop competition , are made illegal . Care of your pet needs to be the point of any vet....NOT making billions!
