Last Friday was one of the worst Fridays ever for me. It was also a holiday which was Good Friday. I took my 15 week old pup to this vet even though I had serious doubts because of what transpired with my pups at that facility when they were two weeks old. I will tell that story later. This last Thursday my pup all of a sudden started acting really aggressive. This behavior was something that I had witnessed before but he would usually snaps out of it. Friday morning when I noticed he was in the same state as Thursday I immediately stated looking for vets. All of them were closed I guess because it was a holiday. When I told them what happened they initially said it was a behavior problem and told me to bring my pup in so they could examine him. I explained to them that he had bitten me. When my pup arrived they immediately said he had rabies without even taking him out of the cage. He was only showing signs of aggression. No other symptoms of rabies was experienced and this is coming from my end. They told me to go to the hospital.  While I was there, I called them back and the receptionist I talked to was extremely rude. They begin treating me like a criminal, calling me a liar and even telling me not to lie to the doctors at the hospital. They never took my pup out the cage they simply euthanized him because he bit me. After DHEC got involved they called me back Saturday to confirm what I already knew which was that he did not have rabies. His mom and dad were vaccinated. He was a very tiny pup which was a Yorkie and Shih Tzu mix which means he was not an outside dog. We just started to train him to use the bathroom outside and that is the only time he would go outside and we heavily supervised him when he was out there because he was so small. I took my puppy there for help and they killed him. They never asked about the parents rabies vaccines until DHEC got involved. I am extremely upset by this. When my pup was two weeks old I took them there. Him and his brother. His brother was very healthy and the reason I really took them there was because the puppy they killed Friday which was the runt of the litter I was worried about. The vet came in, him and his assistant which was a female. None of them had on any exam gloves. The vet stuck his finger in my puppy's mouth and told me that both of them were healthy. Their eyes were not even open yet. The healthy pup which was his brother passed away 12 hours later after going to this animal clinic. After that I was completely traumatized and did not take my only remaining pup to any vet at all. We administered his 1st and second round of shots. He was fine. He was definitely a fighter and we absolutely loved him. A month later when we took him to the vet because of concern they killed him. Misdiagnosed him. Now they won't answer my calls. I am completely distraught. They have wronged so many other families and I am deciding to do something about it so no one else's family will have to go through this. Please join me in fighting to have this vet unlicensed and or have this facility shut down.
