This is a copy of the letter I have written now available on our website here: Open Letter to the VA. The number of veterans and veteran families currently in loss mitigation, facing homelessness, is being greatly under-reported. If immediate action is not taken, hundreds of thousands of veterans and their families will be forced to torn apart and/or forced into homelessness. This is unacceptable! Under-funded loss mitigation programs, the ending of the VA partial claim program in 2022, as well as a lack of newer loss mitigation options and programs tailored to fit current financial and economic hardships (especially now that the COVID19 forbearances have run out) are a serious threat to our veterans and their families. They are owed better, they earned better.
These brave men and women answered the called to action each and every time they were called upon, they did so with unwavering love for their country, for the rights and freedoms this country continues to thrive under and enjoy, with courage and commitment. NO one who put their lives on the line for this country, should ever find themselves facing the grim nightmare of foreclosure because the grateful nation they love and would still fight to the death to defend, cannot help them in their toughest of times. Please copy, download, and help share and spread this letter, to get it out to the masses immediately. Please continue supporting KOVH, sharing this petition, and showing the rest of the country that our veterans and their families do still matter, and that they deserve the protection, care, and defense that they themselves show and give.
