Our voices are being heard. ABC councillors Lenny Zhou and Peter Meiszner have tabled a motion to review the unintended consequences of their multiplex housing policy. This is our opportunity to be heard. But we need your voices to speak up.

On May 20th at 9:30 am the Standing Committee of City Finances + Services will vote on whether they need to refine the current multiplex approach. We need you to:

a) attend the meeting in person on May 20th at 9:30 am at City Hall. The more people there the better.

b) request to speak on May 20th at 9:30 am by sending an email to:

speaker.request@vancouver.ca

(Motion 9 - Review and refinement of multiplex housing policy)

c) send a message to council by copying this link into your browser:

https://council.vancouver.ca/20260520/cfsc20260520ag.htm

and click on "send comments to council" and tell them you support the motion to review and revise the current multiplex policy.

Please share your personal experience with council and emphasize the fact that these multiplexes are unaffordable and do nothing to lower housing cost for residents while at the same time we are rapidly losing our tree canopy, sunshine, plants, privacy, while increasing street congestion and liveability for everyone else.

Thank you all for your help.
