I'm a lifelong West Virginian from Roane County, and like many of you, I just learned a company wants to run one of the largest power lines in the country right through our community.

They call it Valley North. I call it a land grab.

It's a 260-mile, 765kV line from Putnam County to Maryland, built by Valley Link to feed the data center explosion in Virginia. That means 180-foot towers, a 200-foot clear-cut swath, and eminent domain threats to anyone in the way.

This isn't about keeping our lights on. This is about powering server farms for big tech, on the backs of WV landowners.
