Several people in the neighborhood think it is a little excessive that the fire siren go off for every call - especially when our taxes pay for a crew to be there 24-7. If they need additional help sounding it is perfectly acceptable. Or in cases like the sighting of a tornado, the siren could be used as a warning method. It wasn’t so bad when they had 10 or 15 runs a month, but last month it was over 100 runs. People in the neighborhood are so used to hearing the siren half of them no longer pay attention to it. In this day and age,  with so many other methods of calling firemen to respond, stop using the siren " just to let people know we had a run".
