This petition is to stop using plastic bags in wet markets. As we all know, plastics are very hazardous for our environment and have some dangerous health effects on people and animals. And according to a study, plastics are non-biodegradable materials that do not quickly decay; it takes hundred years to decompose and eliminate its substances. So instead of using these, we can use eco bags and paper bags as an alternative to plastic bags. Those are healthier for our environment because they do not contain harmful chemicals and toxins that can cause serious long-term effects on both people and animals. They are also reusable, biodegradable, and environmentally friendly. With these bags, we can save a lot of money and help the environment heal. These alternatives are essential to our future population and us.

     We are all aware of the damage plastic bags can cause. The production and disposal of these plastic bags use a lot of energy and landfills, which leads to pollution in our environment.  Now there are eco-friendly bags available in the market that are both economic and convenient for us. Make sure you don’t spend extra money on bags because there is an alternative that lets you save the Earth

     Many cities in the country also implemented this rule, which helps their cities in terms of waste disposal because preventing the usage of plastic also lessens the amount of garbage in the city. Some supermarkets have also already implemented this rule, like SM supermarkets and hypermarkets, they're already using paper bags, and if you want to use the eco bag, you can add 10 pesos.

     Plastic pollution is a problem that is out of control. We are responsible for taking action and doing something about this issue before it's too late. If we stop using plastics in our daily life, we could lessen the floods and deaths that used to occur from plastic pollution. We must do something about this situation, as it is a severe problem that needs urgent attention.
