The creek had to be re directed 3 days ago. 4/19/24  By the city of laguna beach public works. 
thank you for that! The flow was going to the north getting close to property and causing a massive cut in the sand. 

the next day 4/20/24 less than 24 hours later the creek mouth filled up with a ton of high tide ocean salt water mixed with yes urban runoff and excess rain water  

guess what … it broke by itself yesterday and flowed for about 35 mins  

today 4/21/20 it broke again by itself! The lifeguards confirmed this. They did a great job making sure everyone was safe 
and flowed for about 45 mins. The more this creek flows the better! The longer this water sits stagnant causing mosquitoes and bad bacteria that increases and eventually will go into the MPA is bad!! 

the use of heavy equipment can sometimes be prevented when the wave riding community or home owners are able to temporarily trench the sand to let it flow by hand with shovels, when the beach is not crowded.. 

when we have the big high tides and big waves this creek flows and fills up and flows and fills up with the tide swings. 

the sand displacement is temporary and the ocean waves and swell bring the sand back! Sometimes in less than 24 hours. I have proof of this in my videos.
