Today, August 15, 2025, the San Francisco Chronicle confirmed that the City is finally responding to our demands for safety at Sunset Dunes Park. The park will soon be divided into two clearly defined zones:

  • "Park Zone" for quiet, family-friendly activities—walking, picnics, children's play, and non-motorized bikes.
  • "Multi-Use Zone" for faster traffic: cyclists, runners, e-bikes, scooters.
Temporary signage starts next week, with pavement markings and stencils—including “Yield,” “Shared Pathway,” and “Look”—rolled out over the next 4–6 weeks. Park rangers will also begin educational outreach, and the SFPD will conduct spot enforcement for e-bike and e-scooter safety.(San Francisco Chronicle)

We are making an impact.  Our petition and your voices are being heard. But these changes must not only happen—they must be strong, clear, and enforced.
