Dear all,
Our campaign to Save the MRes History of Africa and the African Diaspora has entered a new phase since the University of Chichester cemented its decision to axe Professor Hakim Adi and keep the course suspended. Professor Adi's postgraduate students and members of the campaign group, are taking action against the university's treatment of Prof Adi, and its breaking of the Equality Act 2010 and its own institutional code of conduct.
For this, we are seeking to raise funds to support the students in their efforts, which includes legal action, and we have organised a series of Black History Month events, wherein students will present highlights of their groundbreaking research on a wide range of topics. Please consider supporting us by purchasing tickets for this series. eventbrite and helping to spread the word.
