Stop Unilateral Decision-Making by Nashboro Woods HOA Board

The Issue

We, the undersigned residents and homeowners of Nashboro Woods, hereby express our strong objection to the unilateral decision-making by the Nashboro Woods Homeowners Association (HOA) board. We believe that decisions affecting our community should be made with input and approval from the residents, in accordance with democratic principles and the principles of transparency and accountability.

The current practice of the HOA board making decisions without seeking input or approval from the residents undermines the trust and confidence of the community. We are concerned that these decisions may not always reflect the best interests of the residents and may result in unnecessary expenses or changes that adversely affect the quality of life in our neighborhood.

Therefore, we respectfully request the following actions:

Transparency: The HOA board should provide residents with timely and accurate information about proposed decisions and seek input from the community before making any major decisions.

Resident Input: Residents should have the opportunity to participate in the decision-making process through town hall meetings, surveys, or other forms of engagement to ensure that their voices are heard and their concerns are considered.

Approval Process: Major decisions affecting the community, such as changes to HOA fees, policies, or rules, should be subject to approval by a majority vote of the residents through a democratic process.

Accountability: The HOA board should be accountable to the residents and should be transparent in its decision-making process, including providing explanations for its decisions and soliciting feedback from the community.

We believe that these measures will help to promote a more inclusive and democratic decision-making process within the Nashboro Woods community and ensure that decisions are made in the best interests of all residents.

We, the undersigned, call on the Nashboro Woods HOA board to adopt these principles and commit to involving residents in the decision-making process.
