Stop unfair summer school requirements for Isaac

The Issue

My friend Isaac is being unfairly forced to attend summer school for Spanish, all because he got a B on his final grade. It might seem like no big deal to some, but it's important. Summer should be a time for fun, relaxation, and enjoying things like hanging out with friends – not for repeating subjects just due to unreasonable parental pressure.

Isaac's parents believe that this single grade doesn't meet their standards, and because of this, they are sending him to make up for it over the summer. A B is not a failure. It's a respectable score that reflects a good level of understanding of the subject.

According to the National Center for Education Statistics, the average GPA for students in the United States is around a 3.0, which is a B. Forcing Isaac to retake a class he's already passed contributes nothing to his education, it only diminishes his summer and puts unnecessary stress on his mental health.

We need to give students a break once in a while. Enforcing strict, high standards can sometimes undermine a student’s confidence and self-worth. Allowing them to have some downtime can greatly benefit their well-being and readiness for the next academic year.

Let’s convince Isaac's parents that their decision should be reconsidered, and show them that his B grade is not only okay but commendable. Let's prioritize his overall well-being and allow him the time to rejuvenate, learn skills outside of academia, and build memories that will last a lifetime.

Please sign this petition to support Isaac and urge his parents to scrap the unnecessary summer Spanish course.
