Stop Tyranny in Russia: Demand Justice, Human Rights, and an End to War Propaganda
The Issue
I. THE MANIFESTO (Main Text):
I demand freedom of speech and equal rights in Russia. I want to stop the hatred, intolerance, and the promotion of military propaganda disguised as patriotism. I call for the removal of all internet blocks and repressive laws. I demand that Roskomnadzor (RKN) be banned and designated as an extremist organization, that disgraceful deputies be removed from the State Duma, and that Vladimir Putin be removed from power. He IS a tyrant, a dictator, a fascist, and a war criminal.
Vladimir Putin does not seek peace and disregards human rights. He fosters hatred and intolerance. He undermines reproductive rights by restricting the choices of Russian women, labeling the decision not to have children as 'propaganda.' He forcibly imposes specific 'traditional values' while infringing upon the rights of LGBTQ+ individuals by banning gender-affirming medical care and labeling the community as 'extremists.' This creates an environment of fear for queer youth in their families and society, leading to bullying and severe mental health crises.
He suppresses freedom of speech and imprisons those who speak out against the conflict in Ukraine, labeling proponents of peace and democracy as 'extremists' while calling the incitement of hatred 'patriotism.' He is introducing the Max messenger—an application intended for censorship and surveillance—while restricting access to YouTube, Telegram, and other platforms where people seek the truth. In schools, the curriculum is being replaced by indoctrination regarding 'patriotism' and 'traditional values.' This atmosphere leads to aggression among children and pressures their mental well-being.
II. OFFICIAL DEMANDS:
Immediate Removal of Vladimir Putin from power and his handover to the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Dissolution of Roskomnadzor (RKN) and its designation as an extremist entity for systematic censorship.
Abolition of Repressive Laws that target LGBTQ+ individuals, restrict reproductive rights, and criminalize anti-war sentiment.
End to Indoctrination in schools and the protection of youth from state-mandated propaganda.
Restoration of Internet Freedom, including the unblocking of YouTube and Telegram, and the cessation of state surveillance.
III. LEGAL BASIS (International Standards):
Article 19, UDHR: Right to freedom of opinion and expression.
Article 2, UDHR: Freedom from discrimination (Gender and LGBTQ+ rights).
Article 12, UDHR & Article 17, ICCPR: Protection against arbitrary surveillance and interference with privacy.
Article 2(4), UN Charter: Prohibition of the use of force against the sovereignty of other nations.
The Rome Statute: Legal basis for the ICC arrest warrant (March 2023) regarding war crimes.
IV. CALL TO ACTION (For Supporters):
We call on the international community, human rights organizations, and citizens of the world to stand with the people of Russia who demand freedom and peace. Sign this petition, share it, and help us hold the regime accountable. Together, we can ensure that truth prevails over propaganda. Stand for justice. Stand for freedom.
UPD (February 2026): The Russian State Duma has passed the first reading of a bill to create a mandatory unified IMEI registry. Under the guise of "fighting fraud," the government plans to block any mobile device not registered in this state database by 2028. This is a direct tool for mass surveillance and political repression, allowing the state to remotely disable the devices of activists and dissenters. This violates the fundamental Right to Privacy (Article 12, UDHR).
Financial Repression: The state has weaponized the banking system. Accounts are being blocked for any activity—or inactivity—that the regime deems 'suspicious,' effectively stripping citizens of their Right to Property (Article 17, UDHR).
Ideological Cleansing: A new wave of censorship targets movies, TV series, and video games. Anything that doesn't fit the narrow 'traditional values'—such as independent women, child-free lifestyles, or non-traditional family structures—is being banned. This is an aggressive attempt to brainwash the youth and violates our Right to Cultural Life (Article 27, UDHR). We refuse to be told how to live, whom to love, and what to watch.
