My family, along with many others, have made their homes in the peaceful Twin Mountain neighborhood in Pigeon Forge. This tranquility, along with our health and property values, are under threat from the Tennessee Valley Authority's (TVA) plan to build high voltage power lines right through our neighborhood. My plea is beyond personal; my daughter, born with a heart condition, could face serious health complications from the electromagnetic fields these power lines generate.

Moreover, several studies suggest that properties in proximity to these power lines tend to depreciate in value, jeopardizing the biggest investment most Twin Mountain residents have made. The detrimental effects surpass our neighborhood, potentially impacting Pigeon Forge's entire tourism economy. Twin Mountain, with its stunning vistas, serves as a major attraction to countless visitors annually. The TVA’s plans would mar this scenic beauty considerably.

We urge the TVA and local authorities to seek alternative locations or technologies for their power lines, less damaging to human life, properties, and city's tourism. Please support us in protecting the health, beauty, and economic stability of our cherished Twin Mountain neighborhood.
