"STOP TRIKE DRIVERS FROM OVERCHARGING"

"STOP TRIKE DRIVERS FROM OVERCHARGING"
The Issue
Passengers are grumbling about the over the top toll charged by tricycle drivers, particularly since a few schools in the province have begun face to face classes. Because some tricycle drivers don't follow the rules about how much a person should pay, citizens, especially students, have problems when they ride on tricycles. If you're alone you will be charged to P30 to P50 for 5 to 10 minutes per ride. Aside from overcharging passengers, drivers likewise arrange the sum before they consent to acknowledge passengers for longer destinations.
The passengers may understand trike drivers from overcharging due to steady increasing of fuel prices but some trike drivers are abusing the situation. A likely answer for this issue might come from giving drivers benefits for them to stop the greed of charging others an overpriced fare. If we don't give a solution to this existing problem, trike drivers will continue abusing passengers especially those student passengers who needs to attend school face to face. Also, during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, a lot of people said that even after restrictions were lifted, tricycle companies did not reduce the trike fees and they were allowed to charge customers for the price they want. In addition to franchised tricycles, some passengers expressed dissatisfaction with drivers of "colorum" tricycles, who charge as much as P100 for rides shorter than two kilometers. If we continue ignoring this matter, trike drivers won't be stopped from overcharging tricycle fare.
As a result, we would like to make a plea to the authorities to spare some time in order to completely resolve this issue given that, even after it has been resolved, passengers and drivers continue to receive the same benefits. Having a reliable and trustworthy organization for reports would assist one with giving the authorities prior knowledge on these issues.
