The Issue

Critical Water Depletion: A project of this scale requires immense resources. Our local aquifers are already strained, and diverting water to support a massive hyperscale data center threatens our agricultural heritage, local farms, and residential wells.
Environmental & Safety Hazards: The plans to construct massive battery storage units and natural gas turbines raise serious public safety concerns, including local air emissions and severe vulnerability to area weather hazards like high-impact hail storms.
Lack of Public Transparency: Decisions regarding an 8,500-acre site impact every single neighbor. We demand full disclosure of all environmental impact studies, water-use agreements, and grid-disruption risks before any further construction is allowed.

Our rural community is not a testing ground for off-grid artificial intelligence infrastructure at the expense of our environment and property values.

We call on the Chaves County Commission to:
1. Place an immediate stay on the Zenith Volts Corp project.
2. Hold an open, dedicated public forum to address resident grievances.
3. Order an independent, third-party environmental and hydrological impact study.

Protect our water. Protect our land. Protect Chaves County.
