President Biden has recently approved a project called the willow project. Led by CoconoPhillips, the project lets them mine and drill for oil in northern Alaska. This will release 287 million tons of carbon emissions, which will make climate change almost irreversible. Many animals will be displaced, making them even more threatened than they are presently. Additionally, this breaks a promise that Biden made at the beginning of his campaign to make America go to net-zero emissions by 2050.
