It would seem the original plan by the council has been dropped and a vote was taken on Tuesday about creating “ on lead walking parks “ and the vote was passed.
whilst I hope everyone supports the rights for people who have a fear of dogs and dog walkers with timid or reactive dogs to be able to enjoy a walk at a park, my concerns are once the schools have laid claim to anything bigger than a postage stamp during school hours and the sports clubs lay claim to everything in the evening and weekends , not forgetting the interests the local councillors have, what exactly are we going to be left with.
whilst the original petition may not be 100% relevant can I please ask that everyone share the link and or an emailed shot of the numbers to their local councillor, just to show the strength of feeling we have about keeping our freedom to walk our dogs off lead .
