This conflict has taken a devastating toll on my family, friends, and myself. Many of my family members have been killed, displaced, or are still missing, a common story among Sudanese. We are living with unbearable grief and uncertainty every day. These are not just personal tragedies; they are a shared burden for countless Sudanese families who find themselves in similar situations.

The conflict in Sudan is characterized by reports of heinous war crimes. Yet, despite the gravity of these crimes, international investigations have been slow or non-existent. Around the world, we witness similar atrocities and observe an alarming pattern of inaction. History must not repeat itself; we cannot allow these crimes to go unpunished and let justice slip from our grasp.

These include indiscriminate attacks on civilians, mass graves, mass incinerations, forced child soldiers, sexual violence, kidnappings, and destruction of property and livelihood.
