We are requesting a special meeting according to the Home Rule Charter Section 1011. We the citizens  of Allentown are requesting a special meeting of city council because this community wants and  deserves a sense of hope about our future, a future without violence, and we are offering you a hand of  hope, right here, right now, to do just that. We are coming together as citizens, business owners, clergy,  parents, youth, leaders, and officials. We request not only presence of city council but of the mayor and  his administration. We request this meeting to get a collective solution to the issues plaguing our city.

Our plight is to have a better comprehensive understanding of any and all entities that are willing and  able to assist the city with various issues.
