Stop the use of Sea Lion Splash at Allegan County Fair

The quality of animal care is incredibly important to me, and it pains me to see marine animals, who are meant to thrive in their natural habitats, exploited for human entertainment. Sea lions, like many other marine animals, are not meant to live confined in unnatural environments meant strictly for performance purposes. That's why I'm calling on the Allegan County Fair to cease hosting Sea Lion Splash, an attraction that jeopardizes the well-being of these majestic animals.
Sea Lion Splash has been cited for its substandard conditions, including unsafe enclosures, unfit water quality, and insufficient spaces for the animals forced to perform there.
One particularly tragic incident involved a sea lion that reportedly had to be put down because of a flipper injury caused by nails.
Is this the kind of careless treatment we want to support at our beloved Allegan County Fair?
Renowned experts and studies underline the fact that captivity is extremely stressful for these creatures. The travesty of transporting them from one show to another compounds their stress and violates their natural instincts.
