The Issue

It is our responsibility to protect every animal on Earth. All animals have the right to live their lives here as they are an integral part of the ecosystem and environment. Animals, such as dogs, demonstrate righteousness as they help protect people from danger. We haven't created this world—the divine has. God has given life to each and every animal on this planet, allowing them to thrive in their rightful habitats and niches.

Dislocating or killing dogs from their natural habitats will lead to drastic effects on ecology and pose a threat to the environment. Dogs play a vital role in our communities, particularly in cities like Delhi and elsewhere in India. They defend against criminal activities, alerting communities by barking to signal nearby crime. Dogs have shown their loyalty and bravery time and again by protecting people from crimes such as theft, various types of assault, Harassment, Robbery, Murder Cases and other violent acts. In numerous cases, their presence deters criminals or helps to catch them.

Dogs are not just animals surviving on the streets; they are silent soldiers who tirelessly work to ensure our safety. Rehabilitating them should focus on supportive measures, not extermination. Education and awareness programs about the advantages of community dogs can change perceptions. Furthermore, government and NGOs should collaborate on creating and implementing sterilization and vaccination neutered operations programs to manage the population humanely.

We must shun drastic measures that propose killing as a solution. Our collective responsibility is to find sustainable solutions that support the coexistence of humans and animals. Sign this petition to call upon authorities to consider the long-term impact of their actions and to uphold the ethical treatment of dogs in Delhi and across India. Let us walk hand-in-hand with our four-legged friends towards a harmonious existence for all beings.
