My baby boy was the biggest and sweetest boy in the entire world. He has brought so many memories. So much joy and happiness into our lives and we will forever hold those memories close to us. He was more than a dog. He was our best friend. He was our everything. This is not just about one dog or one family's loss. This is about creating a safe environment for our pets and holding those accountable who choose to harm them.

In the United States alone, there are an estimated 78 million dogs owned as pets (American Pet Products Association). These animals are not just pets; they are members of our families. It is illegal in all 50 states to intentionally kill another person's pet (Animal Legal Defense Fund), yet these laws often go unenforced or ignored.

We need stricter enforcement of these laws here in Luther, OK. We need local law enforcement agencies to prioritize these cases and ensure that those responsible for such heinous acts face appropriate legal consequences.
