As a deeply concerned citizen, I am writing to challenge the proposed ban on XL Bullies in Scotland. This plan is not only unjust but also misdirected. It's outrageous that while 5,752 pedophiles roam free in our society with minimal or no prison time, we are focusing our efforts on banning a breed of dogs.

Bullies, when raised right and shown love and attention, reciprocate with nothing but affection. Yes, there have been instances where these dogs have attacked humans - 11 deaths in the UK since 2021 to be precise - but this is often due to poor breeding practices by unscrupulous breeders who prioritize profit over animal welfare.

In contrast to these 11 deaths caused by Bullies, there were 696 murder victims and an overwhelming number of COVID-related deaths (67,350) since 2021. The real problem isn't hard to see.

Instead of targeting innocent animals who look scary due to their size and build but are mostly well-behaved pets when raised correctly; let's target the bad breeders who use aggressive bloodlines for profit and irresponsible owners who buy them without understanding their needs or use them for violent purposes.

Let us focus our resources on addressing real societal issues rather than punishing innocent animals for human failings. Don't ban or kill the dogs; instead educate prospective owners about responsible pet ownership and enforce stricter regulations against unethical breeding practices.
