STOP THE UNFAIRNESS WHEN IT COMES TO EMPLOYMENT BETWEEN WOMEN AND MEN!!!

STOP THE UNFAIRNESS WHEN IT COMES TO EMPLOYMENT BETWEEN WOMEN AND MEN!!!
The Issue
when it comes to jobs men always the one who should have a job but how about the women who wants to stand up for their self and want to help their family to build a better future for her and for her family but because of our society they cannot do that. Because of many reasons that stop women from growing in their own place. The future congresswoman, doctor, engineer and many jobs that women can also do. They might not achieve because of the discrimination, and not safe workplace because of the mind of people.
DO YOU KNOW THAT
Women are much more having a hard time finding a job than men. But when they get accepted or become employed, they tend to work in low quality jobs in vulnerable conditions. Because of this the current global labour force participation (when someone is employed or actively looking for employment) rate for men is 72% while for women is just under 47% see the difference? there’s 25 percentage points. IN 2016, ILO and Gallup teamed up to ask women across the globe if they preferred to work in paid jobs, care for their families, or do both. The data showed that 70% of women preferred to work in paid jobs. Regardless of their employment. Which means that they also want to work in the men’s field (paid jobs) which society is called.
The freedom to work by their choice in conditions of safety, dignity and fairness is what everyone needed, that’s why we should give it to them equally. Freedom to work is integral to human welfare.
GENDER ROLES
Why is gender roles connected on this topic? Because of the traditional gender roles women are pressure to conform these roles for women vary across regions. Religions and households. For instance, women who have a husband or partner are less likely to be employed in a paid job or be actively looking for one because they have a partner to take care of and the house they have choice it’s either they become a housewife or get a job and still do their job inside of their house. And they can be excuse that the men should be the who who’s working or should be the one who is the breadwinner. Because of this woman still choose to go get a job even though they will get more responsibilities even though they only have little choice. Yes, they choose to work but base on the report the biggest barrier for women in paid work is the struggle to balance it with family responsibilities because of the ‘traditional roles’ that they need to obey because of the mindset of the people like taking care of a child, chores and anything that they think a women should do. The lack of affordable care for children, family members who need help, or a house yaya. This also a big struggle globally for the women. Because of this it decreases a woman’s participation chances by almost 5% points in developing countries while 4% points in developed countries (data from the World Employment and Social Outlook: Trends for Women 2017). In transportation many women might risk facing harassment and sexual assault on their daily commute because they don’t have their own vehicle or because of the people who do negative things to others. This leads them to feel unsafe. Let's go back to the pressure to conform, The ILO-Gallup survey from 2016 revealed that 20% men and 14% women globally are this have the mindset that is unacceptable for a woman to have a paid job. Many women also revealed that even their own family disapproved of their decisions to work outside the home.
IN ORDER TO BREAK THE GAP,
WE SHOULD......... GIVE THEM EQUAL PAY because I believe that we should give them payment based on their work skills not on their gender. LET’S ELIMINATE DISCRIMINATION in every workplace because this action can cause a negative impact on someone and can cause a unfairness in work. Let’s not tolerate this. LET’S NOT HAVE A SEGREGATION IN OCCUPATION because it’s like we are stopping or limiting someone to do what they want. Remember “freedom to work by choice is integral to human welfare”. LET’S PROMOTE WORK-FAMILY BALANCE we should reforms policy that should acknowledge that the bulk of unpaid family and household work is currently performed by women. GUARD AGAINST DOWNTURNS let's give women a safeguard against the effects of economic downturns need got complemented by gender-responsive policies. Including efforts to formalize jobs in the informal economy. WE SHOULD ALSO CREATE QUALITY CARE JOBS. We should promote decent work for care professionals, including domestic and migrant workers. We also reduced and redistributed the over-reliance on unpaid care work.
