The Issue

Tamarri Lindo is facing an unjust deportation from Canada to Jamaica, despite having done nothing wrong. This situation is personal to me because it highlights how difficult it can be for people like us to be treated fairly, even in a country known for its inclusivity. As someone who also runs track, I understand the crushing blow of seeing your dreams and hard work being thrown away to no use.

Tamarri came to Canada with hopes of building a better life, getting his education at York University, contributing positively to society, and representing Canada on the global stage. However, he is now being rejected by the very country he wishes to serve and improve. This is unacceptable not only to me but also to many other people and athletes who believe in fairness and justice.

We must stand together against this unfair treatment. Sign this petition to urge Canadian authorities to reconsider their decision and allow Tamarri Lindo the opportunity he deserves—a chance at a good life in Canada.
