Hello Creators of TikTok. My name is Dierdra. My TikTok account is AuntieWiggz.HeffaNation. I am a Black Content Creator. Over the last 2 weeks, someone has been wrongfully reporting my videos. This is costing me time, energy, effort and money. I submit appeals and sometimes my content is restored. In most cases it is not. However, their is no consequence for the person wrongfully reporting videos.

The videos that I stitch or duet are considered a violations of TikTok’s community guidelines, but not the original video. To further prove TikTok is trying to stifle Black Creators, I will report the original video as well as other stitched and dueted videos of white creators and no violations are found. And its not just me, allow me to introduce my friend Anthony. 

Hi, my name is Anthony, my tiktok name is ALLMONEYIN0313. I  am joining this petition hopefully to make this app a better, more fair place to create content that my followers love and enjoy. I too, have suffered bans because of a personal issue with my content moderator. My followers and I, are tired of seeing popukar creators banned for no reason, and more inportantly the appeals process needs serious change. We are pushing this petition as a last ditch effort before starting a classable action lawsuit against tiktok. 

So many other Black Creators are being targeted, having their accounts permanently banned when they speak about social injustices, blatant racism and pedophiles on TikTok. Ispeak06, airiesgirl74_ram, auntkaren2.0, jolly_good_ginger just to name a few. 

WE ARE TIRED OF TIKTOK ALLOWING BLATANT RACISTS TO THREATEN THE LIVES OF BLACK PEOPLE WITHOUT ANY REPERCUSSIONS! 

WE ARE TIRED OF TIKTOK ALLOWING REGISTERED SEX OFFENDERS AND PEDOPHILES TO REMAIN ON THE APP!

WE ARE TIRED OF TIKTOK ALLOWING PEOPLE TO BULLY OTHER CREATORS THAT HAVE DISABILITIES WITHOUT RECOURSE! 

WE ARE TIRED OF HAVING OUR CONTENT REMOVED! WE ARE TIRED OF OUR ACCOUNTS WRONGFULLY SHUT DOWN FOR BEING A VOICE FOR THOSE WHO DON’T FEEL LIKE THEY HAVE A VOICE BECAUSE TIKTOK IS IGNORING THEM! 

WE ARE TIRED OF CONTENT MODERATORS, HIRED BY TIKTOK, OVERSTEPPING THEIR AUTHORITY. THE APPEALS PROCEDURE IS FLAWED. THERE IS NOWHERE TO TYPE AN EXPLANATION OR SUPPORTIVE FACTS AND NEEDS TO BE REFORMED immediately. 

Smaller accounts are using their following to "mass report " creators and popular entities on the app, in a effort to get them banned. And it is working. It is not fair or right. Creators like myself and the people within this petition, have been kicked out of the creator fund, and banned from their monies that they have earned. This presents a financial hardship and loss of income due to these unjust bans, however...videos from these creators are still up on tiktok, generating revenue that tiktok collects money from. This is fraud.

We are politely asking that tiktok and the higher level managers and executives, reform the banning and appeal procedure. The current appeal procedure doesnt even allow you to attach screenshots as it suggests or write a defense for your ban or appeal. We are also asking for a reinstatement of the following accounts and an executive audit into the conduct of the "content moderators" assigned to these accounts.
