We strongly oppose President Trump’s nomination of Emil Bove to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

This appointment is not based on merit but on loyalty and political favoritism.

Bove, a former personal attorney to Trump, played a central role in purging career officials from the Department of Justice and FBI, undermining the independence of federal law enforcement. He has also been tied to the controversial decision to drop a high-profile corruption case against New York Mayor Eric Adams—a move that prompted multiple resignations and was widely condemned by legal experts and a federal judge as an improper quid pro quo.

Bove's actions have repeatedly raised serious questions about his judgment, ethics, and commitment to impartial justice. Elevating him to a lifetime judicial position threatens the integrity of our courts and weakens public trust in the rule of law.

We urge the Senate to reject this nomination and demand a fair, unbiased judiciary—not one built on personal loyalty and political payback.
