We cannot accept a phase out of animal abuse.  It must stop now.  Please sign this petition as well to end this once and for all.

Here are a few points to consider:

Funding Allocation: The continued allocation of public funds to such practices raises questions about priorities. As you've highlighted, the money could potentially be redirected towards more humane and innovative approaches to healthcare.

Ethical Concerns: The ethical implications of vivisection and animal exploitation are profound.

Human Health: Missed opportunities for better human healthcare due to a reliance on outdated methods are a critical issue. Advancements in alternative research methods could lead to more effective treatments without the ethical baggage.

Systemic Issues: Often, these issues are deeply entrenched in the system, driven by financial interests and resistance to change. The question of "what’s stopping them?" often points to a complex web of vested interests, regulatory inertia, and societal norms.

Your human-centric view brings to light the contradictions in our approach to intelligence and kindness. It's a stark reminder that often, progress is hindered by a mix of bureaucracy, vested interests, and sometimes a lack of collective will.
