Tragically, these serene lands are now under threat. The Trump administration is planning to construct massive data centers on 17,600 acres of sacred land. This development threatens not only the environment but also the communities dependent on this natural habitat. This petition is deeply personal to me because saving our planet should be our goal, not willfully destroying it for technological advancement.

Environmental studies have consistently shown the detrimental impact of large-scale construction on natural ecosystems. Data centers, with their enormous demands for electricity and cooling, can lead to severe local climate effects, strain water resources, and disrupt local wildlife habitats. We possess the technology and the innovation to develop data infrastructure without sacrificing these crucial ecosystems. Shifting focus toward urban areas that are already developed and working on upgrading old centers instead of building new ones on untouched lands can make a significant difference. Alternatively, incentives for data centers to operate on renewable energy and use energy-efficient designs should be heightened.
