The U.K. government has had a travel ban for dogs, cats and other animals from Eastern Europe to the U.K. which was due to be lifted tomorrow. All animal rescuers were breathing a sign of relief today thinking that their animals would be able to travel after tomorrow, especially as all fosters in these countries are now full to overflowing, waiting for their animals to be able to finally leave to a new life.

Now within the last 30 minutes, it feels as if we have been hit with a brick yet again! This U.K. government, who is questionable on many levels to say the least, has just announced that the ban has been extended until 9th July!

They obviously do not think or care that there will be hundreds if not thousands of mainly dogs who will now be condemned to death because of their thoughtlessness or even concern about them.

We in rescue do this job on a voluntary basis with no reward other than to save lives and for our passionate love of animals.

Please will you sign this petition to overturn this ruling and save animals’ lives.
