Good morning all, and thank you for all of your support so far. We have reached yet another critical moment in the process of stopping this data center from destroying Cannon Falls. We are asking the environmental quality board (EQB), to review our concerns about the potential significant environmental impacts a data center would cause when built in the Cannon Falls Technology Park that is located in 253 acres directly north of Cannon Falls. If the petition is accepted by the Environmental Quality Board, it is forwarded to the Cannon Falls City Administrator, Jon Rademacher, who is responsible for making a decision on the need for an EAW (environmental assessment worksheet). An AUAR (alternative urban areawide review, another type of environmental review) was completed this summer; however, it was lacking a thorough review and did NOT even identify that a hyperscale data center was planned for the site. This is our chance to further stall and even possibly halt the process of getting this data center approved.
There are currently lawsuits in 4 (four) Minnesota cities, citing that the AUAR process does not provide a thorough environmental review for the magnitude of a hyperscale data center. This petition is a process Minnesota citizens can use to request a more meticulous environmental review BEFORE the final development plan is approved by the city council. We only need 100 signatures to get this pushed through.

Please sign as soon as possible, because there are time constraints on this process.
Thank you very much. Your signature matters and will make a difference!
