Contacted Dave Barrow our Mayor for help

I sent him a full explanation of my situation and how his planning department has handled this situation. Read his reply below, this town cares nothing about it's tax payers BUT! they will bend over backwards for developers, allowing them to build completely over drainage streams, raise subdivision grades, ignore court orders etc. Now they have added EXTORTION to the list of their services! We need to straight this township out! Pass this petition to as many people as you can for signature, help me convince this town their current practices need to change! ******************************************************************************** Mayor Dave Barrow's reply washing his hands of the situation: I have reviewed the material that you had sent to Daniela Fiore in our office. I my first state that this is an application to the Committee of Adjustment, not Council and as such we are required by the Planning Act to remain at arms-length to the body that we delegated the authority to hear applications for minor variances. I will say that from observation of the materials that you sent, that the back of your property is a part of a larger wetlands area to your south. It is our intention to protect the larger area of wetlands by bringing them in to town or TRCA ownership and our Official Plan is the document that gives us the authority to ask for the conveyance as a condition of the variance you are requesting. We seem to disagree on that principle. ********************************************************************************
