Hey there,
We packed the fire station and united together as a community to speak up and let Town Pump know we don't want them in Frenchtown. We like our quiet community the way it is! There were about 100 in attendance, 14 on Zoom. Overall, a great turnout as many people couldn't attend with being gone on vacation or having other engagements. I have attached a replay of the meeting. We shared our concerns and voiced our opinions and fears to Tim Worley, Senior planning and development for the county, and Dan Sampson, planner and developer for Town Pump. Our county commissioners were not in attendance.

In addition, the population of Huson, Frenchtown, and the Wye is about 3,100 people, including children. 2,309 residents of these areas have signed a petition online or in person, saying "No Town Pump!" That is 74% of the population, and doesn't include children as they cannot sign. What a loud and resounding response.
Town Pump has requested a traffic study with Montana Department of Transportation. We can reach out and share our concerns with them as well with the traffic, bike path, infrastructure etc. We can also request a traffic study of our own as a community. Are they conducting this traffic study when school is in session? This makes a profound difference.

The other great concern is the environmental impact study which I believe he said they requested as well. There is a shallow water table there and great concern about contamination to our ground water from oil & fuel spills and leaks. This would have a negative affect on local agriculture, wildlife, local citizens health, and the Clark Fork River drainage. Many concerns were expressed about inversion, light, and noise issues as well. Please voice your concerns and questions to:

Would Town Pump consider selling the land if the community was able to form a Non-Profit organization that held the title to the property so the land could be utilized to benefit the entire community?
Ask these questions, share your concerns. Together, we can move mountains.
Thank you,
