Good afternoon everyone!
Just a quick update from me!
Last week, the University of Nottingham Music Department announced a £1.2 million AHRC research grant to invest in upgrading the facilities within the department. This infrastructural award will help with the world leading research going on in the department.
Despite this, we are still fighting the University Executive Board’s decision to suspend Undergraduate intake for all Music courses. If you are an alumni of the University of Nottingham, and have not yet signed the letters of support please sign them through the links below!
The letter for graduates of the Music Department will be delivered on Tuesday 17th March, and if you want your name counted you have until 23:59 today (Monday 16th March) to sign. The link can be found here: UoN Music Department - Alumni Letter of Support
If you are an alumni who did not study Music, but benefitted from the wealth of co-curricular musical opportunities made possible by the thriving Music Department, please sign the letter linked here: UoN Music Department - Letter of Support from Non-Music Alumni
Finally, please keep sharing! No music department should be silent, especially one as lively as Nottingham’s. There is still time to make a difference.
Many thanks,
Ella Townsend
PhD Music Student at the University of Nottingham
