Dear supporter
What will you be doing at midday on Saturday? Hopefully, you are planning to join the rally to stop the supermarket and save our waterfront - along with Helensburgh Community Council, Helensburgh Skatepark Project, Cove Park youth project and many others.
Join the rally 12- 1 on Saturday 26th October - at the proposed supermarket site
Our waterfront could be a vibrant community space to be enjoyed by residents and visitors alike. Instead we are to be given a supermarket that is harmful to Helensburgh's wonderful view over the Clyde, as well as our fragile local businesses.
Despite the strong community opposition, Argyll and Bute Council is still not listening to the community.
It's important as many people as possible take part on Saturday. Please share this invite and bring all your family and friends.
- Hear the latest news about the supermarket plans
- Watch the BMX and skateboarding display at the skatepark
- Mark your opposition with wildflower bombs and ribbons
- Listen to wonderful local pipers
You can read more about how young people from Cove Park's youth project on art and activism are supporting the rally here.
We look forward to seeing you at midday on Saturday 26th October to stop the supermarket and save our waterfront.
Best wishes,
Everyone at Helensburgh Community Council
